Yueling Ji

Yueling Ji is a Teaching Professor in the Department of East Asian Languages and Civilizations at the University of Chicago. She holds a PhD from the University of Chicago (2023). Her research focuses on the intellectual history of modern Chinese literary criticism, particularly examining how Cold War dynamics influenced stylistic analysis in mid-20th century criticism. She also explores style across artistic media, Lu Xun's works, post-war Hong Kong martial arts fiction, and visual culture related to early China.
