Prof. Yuanwei Liu is a Visiting Professor at the School of Electronic Engineering and Computer Science, Queen Mary University of London, and a tenured full Professor at the University of Hong Kong. His research focuses on 6G technologies, including Reconfigurable Intelligent Surfaces (RIS), Next Generation Multiple Access (NGMA), and AI-driven communications. He leads the STAR LAB@QMUL and holds IEEE Fellow and AAIA Fellow distinctions.
Education: Ph.D. from Queen Mary University of London (2016). Prior roles include Senior Lecturer (2021–2024) and Lecturer (2017–2021) at QMUL, and Postdoctoral Fellow at King's College London (2016–2017).
