Xidong Mu

Xidong Mu is a Lecturer (Assistant Professor) at Queen's University Belfast's Centre for Wireless Innovation (CWI). He holds a PhD in Information and Communication Engineering from Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications (2022). His research focuses on sustainable 6G networks, including Simultaneously Transmitting and Reflecting Surfaces (STARS), Near-field Communications/Sensing (NFC/NISE), and Mobile Edge Generation (MEG). He serves on editorial boards and technical committees like IEEE Transactions on Communications and IEEE ComSoc NGMA Initiative. Notable awards include the 2023 IEEE ComSoc Outstanding Young Researcher Award and 2024 Heinrich Hertz Award.
