Yongda Liu

Dr. Yongda Liu is a Lecturer in Finance at Southampton Business School, University of Southampton. His research focuses on empirical corporate finance, with expertise in customer-supplier relationships, information disclosure, ESG factors, and executive compensation.

In his research, Yongda investigates how AI-driven human capital investments impact financial data processing efficiency, while also examining corporate governance dynamics through executive compensation frameworks. His work intersects with ESG principles to explore sustainable business practices.

Current teaching responsibilities include MANG 6298 Management of Financial Risk and MANG 3080 International Finance modules at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Yongda actively supervises PhD students and contributes to the Centre for Empirical Research in Finance and Banking.
