Dr. Yingxi Zhao is a Postdoctoral Research Scientist at the Nuffield Department of Medicine, University of Oxford, affiliated with Jesus College. His research focuses on global health systems and human resources for health, employing mixed-methods approaches to study healthcare workforce challenges in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). He holds a DPhil in Clinical Medicine (University of Oxford, 2023), MPH in Global Health (University of Washington, 2019), and BSc in Biomedical English (Peking University, 2017).
Current work examines the role of physician associates in UK NHS hospitals and the experiences of internationally recruited healthcare workers.
