Yi Fan

Assoc Prof Yi Fan is an Associate Professor (with tenure) in the Department of Real Estate at the National University of Singapore (NUS) Business School. She holds a PhD from the London School of Economics (2015), an MPhil from the Chinese University of Hong Kong (2009), and a Bachelor's from Nanjing University (2007). Her research focuses on social sustainability and environmental sustainability, particularly intergenerational mobility, migration, noise pollution, and urban policies. She is a founding member of the Research Network on Intergenerational Mobility and currently serves as PhD Programme Coordinator in the Department of Real Estate.

Her work has been published in top journals such as American Economic Journal: Economic Policy, Review of Finance, and Nature Cities, and has been cited by international organizations like the World Bank and United Nations. Notable awards include the Homer Hoyt Best Paper Award (2023) and NUS Teaching Excellence Award (2021).
