Yen Ming Lin

Yen Ming Lin is a Clinical Lecturer in Dental Education at the Peninsula Dental School (University of Plymouth) and an Honorary Clinical Lecturer. He is also a Specialty Registrar in Orthodontics at Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and Countess of Chester NHS Foundation Trust. His roles include teaching, clinical supervision, and leadership in dental education and patient care.

Education:

• Bachelor of Dental Surgery (Cardiff University, 2018)
• Postgraduate Certificate in Dental Education (University of Dundee, 2020–2021)

Research & Teaching Interests: Focuses on dental education methodologies, orthodontic care, special care dentistry, and inter-professional training. Active in both clinical practice and educational innovation, emphasizing patient-centered care and training future dental professionals.

Advising & Leadership: Served as DCT Chair for the South West DCT Representative Group (2021–2022). Leads Professional Development Modules, supervises BDS Year 5 clinical training, and facilitates Enquiry-Based Learning and Inter-Professional Engagement programs. Co-Leads ADK and ADTK modules.

Professional Affiliations: Member of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, Advance HE, Academy of Medical Educators, British Orthodontic Society, and British Dental Association.
