Associate Professor and Consultant in Oral Surgery at Peninsula Dental School (Faculty of Health), University of Plymouth. Serves as Associate Dean NHSE South West for Professional Education Development and Support, leading Quality Improvement initiatives for healthcare professionals in the southwest region. Holds roles as Associate Specialist in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at University Hospitals of Plymouth NHS Trust, Educational Supervisor, Appraiser, and Human Factors Trainer.

Has 25 years of experience in dental and medical education, specializing in teaching Oral Surgery, clinical guidelines, and patient safety through simulated/hands-on training. Designs and delivers study days for dentists, dental care professionals, and allied health workers via HEE SW Dental and the British Association of Oral Surgeons. Involved in clinical education program development linked to the PG certificate in Clinical Education at the University of Plymouth.

Advocates for equitable access to quality improvement training and promotes engagement in QI projects among doctors and dentists in training. Active in advancing human factors training and clinical guideline adherence across primary and secondary care settings.
