Yaping Jing

Yaping Jing is an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science at Salisbury University (SU), where she has been affiliated since 2016. Prior to joining SU, she served as a visiting faculty member at Illinois Wesleyan University (2015) and Whitman College (2014).

• Education: Ph.D., M.S., and B.S. in Computer Science from Iowa State University, Ames, IA.

Her research focuses on Performance Analysis on Complex Systems, Stochastic Model Checking, and Database Systems. She has supervised over twenty undergraduate research projects, primarily involving automated software tool development and AI applications.

In her teaching career, she has delivered a wide range of courses, including High Performance Computing, System Software, Computer Networks, Software Engineering, and Algorithm Analysis at the senior level, as well as foundational courses for freshmen.
