About
Yaowen Shan is a Professor in the Accounting Discipline Group at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS Business School). His research focuses on the intersection of accounting and financial economics, particularly the impact of accounting/non-accounting information on capital markets, corporate governance, and executive compensation. He has authored over 50 publications in top journals, including The Accounting Review and Review of Accounting Studies. Currently, he serves as Co-Editor-in-Chief of Australian Accounting Review and Accounting Research Journal, and Associate Editor of several other journals.
Education: PhD in Accounting and Finance (UNSW Australia, 2006–2008), Master of Commerce (Honours in Finance, UNSW Australia, 2004–2005), and Bachelor of Economics (Fudan University, Shanghai, China).
