Yanli Song

Yanli Song is Associate Professor of Mathematics at Washington University, researching equivariant index theory for manifolds with group actions and its interactions with noncommutative geometry. Work addresses the Vergne conjecture and quantization-reduction compatibility problems.

Previously held positions at Dartmouth College and University of Toronto after earning PhD from Pennsylvania State University. Current projects explore symplectic structures in representation-theoretic contexts and index-theoretic approaches to geometric quantization.

Teaches advanced courses on geometric methods in representation theory and symplectic topology. Research bridges mathematical physics with advanced geometry through analytic techniques.
