Dr. Xiang Yu is an Assistant Professor and Clinical Ethicist in the Institute for Bioethics and Health Humanities at the University of Texas Medical Branch. She holds a PhD in Philosophy from The Ohio State University, an MA in Philosophy from Texas Tech University, and a BEcon in Finance from the University of International Business and Economics in Beijing.
Her research focuses on philosophical aspects of well-being, particularly issues relating to desires, decision-making capacity, and psychiatric ethics. She completed a clinical ethics fellowship at the Alden March Bioethics Institute at Albany Medical College prior to joining UTMB.
