Xavier Tabet

Xavier Tabet is a Professor of Italian at the University of Paris-8 and an associated researcher with the Triangle laboratory (UMR 5206). He has been affiliated with the laboratory since 2010. Additionally, he serves as a Lecturer in Economics at the University of Genoa and is involved in the ANR Saint-Simonisme 18/21 research project. His work focuses on political philosophy, Italian literature, and intellectual history, as exemplified by his co-edited publication The Exercise of Thought: Machiavelli, Leopardi, Foucault (2015). Tabet’s research engages with the ideas of key thinkers like Machiavelli, Giacomo Leopardi, and Michel Foucault, exploring themes of power, thought, and intellectual evolution.
