Wisdom Dogbe

Dr. Wisdom Dogbe is a Research Fellow at the University of Aberdeen's School of Medicine, Medical Sciences and Nutrition, based at Scotland's Rural College (SRUC) in Edinburgh. His work focuses on the intersection of agricultural economics, food policy, and public health with significant contributions to understanding how fiscal policies impact dietary choices, nutritional outcomes, and environmental sustainability.

Dr. Dogbe earned his Ph.D. in Sustainability (Agricultural Economics) from the University Polytechnic of Catalonia (2019), a Double Master's degree in Agricultural, Food and Environmental Policy Analysis from the University of Bonn and Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (2016), and a BSc in Agricultural Science (Economics) from the University of Ghana (2013). His doctoral research was supported by an EU Treasure Fellowship.

His research program centers on evaluating policy effectiveness across multiple dimensions. He analyzes consumer behavior related to obesity trends, examines household purchasing patterns, and develops models to assess how land use changes affect climate outcomes. Dr. Dogbe employs sophisticated economic modeling techniques to measure how food policies simultaneously impact consumer welfare, environmental metrics, and public health indicators.

Dr. Dogbe's publication trajectory shows a clear evolution from early work on obesity determinants in Spain and Ghana toward contemporary analyses of climate-food policy intersections in Scotland.
