Andrew Jones is an Associate Professor in the Department of Nutritional Sciences at the University of Michigan School of Public Health. His research focuses on food systems sustainability, healthy diets, and climate change mitigation. He leads projects in Ghana, Vietnam, Kenya, Peru, and Michigan, examining agricultural biodiversity's impact on diets and food systems' role in climate resilience.
Education: PhD in Nutritional Sciences (Cornell University, 2011), BA (Penn State University, 2002).
Research Interests: Sustainable food systems, food policy, agricultural diversity, and community-based food system transformations. Current projects include interventions in U-M dining halls and studies in the Peruvian Andes on dietary biodiversity.
