Dr. Wilson Zachary Ray is the Henry G. & Edith R. Schwartz Professor and Executive Vice-Chair of Neurosurgery at Washington University in St. Louis. He leads the Division of Spine Surgery and directs the Peripheral Nerve Fellowship program. His clinical practice focuses on complex spinal disorders, peripheral nerve injuries, and spinal oncology.
Dr. Ray's research investigates nerve regeneration strategies and neuroprosthetic interfaces for spinal cord injury patients. He leads Department of Defense-funded clinical trials on nerve transfer techniques for tetraplegia.
