William Whitledge serves as Adjunct Faculty in the Criminal Justice Department's Investigations Program at the University of New Haven's Henry C. Lee College of Criminal Justice and Forensic Sciences. With over twenty-five years of experience in law enforcement technology and digital evidence, he bridges academic instruction with real-world forensic practice.
Specializing in digital forensics and cybercrime investigations, Whitledge's research interests focus on computer and mobile phone forensics, electronic discovery in civil litigation, and the application of digital evidence in criminal proceedings. His expertise extends to designing forensic laboratories for law enforcement agencies and providing expert testimony in court proceedings.
His professional recognition includes certification as a Cyber Forensic Professional. Whitledge maintains active membership in the Indiana Bar and the American Bar Association's Section on Taxation and Section of Science and Technology Law's Committee on Electronic Discovery and Digital Evidence.
As an educator, he has served as a primary instructor for eight years at the National Computer Forensics Institute in Hoover, Alabama, teaching week-long courses on digital forensics to prosecutors and judges. His practical experience includes planning and designing computer forensics laboratories for agencies including the IRS Criminal Investigation Division and the United States Secret Service.
