Will Guzmán

Will Guzmán is a tenured Professor at North Carolina Central University (NCCU), reporting directly to the provost and vice chancellor. He oversees two nationally recognized offices: the Office of Community Engagement and Service (OCES), which holds the prestigious Carnegie Community Engagement Classification, and the Office of International Affairs (OIA), consistently ranked as an HBCU Institutional Leader by the U.S. Department of State for Fulbright activities.

His academic expertise centers on African American History, evidenced by his editorial board membership with the Journal of African American History. Professional work emphasizes community uplift through service learning, international student support, cultural immersion programs, and campus globalization initiatives. Statewide representation includes the Upper Coastal Plain Learning Council, NC Campus Voting Coalition, NC Campus Engagement, and University Council on International Programs.
