Whitney S. Newcomb

Dr. Whitney S. Newcomb is Professor and Department Chair of Educational Leadership at Virginia Commonwealth University's School of Education, serving as Interim Associate Dean for Faculty Development. Her scholarship examines leadership for social justice, ethical dimensions of leadership, and women in educational leadership positions.

Research Interests: Social Justice Leadership, Ethical Decision-Making in Education, Women in Leadership Roles, Leadership Preparation and Mentoring, Intersectionality in Educational Administration.

Dr. Newcomb has authored over 50 publications and three books exploring gender equity and ethical leadership in education. She serves on editorial boards for leading journals and co-edits a book series on educational leadership for social justice.
