Robin Fetherston

Robin Fetherston is an Assistant Professor of English at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) in Qatar, affiliated with the School of Liberal Arts and Sciences. She specializes in academic writing and literature, having earned an MFA from Queens University of Charlotte, an MA from The College of William and Mary, and a BA from Arizona State University. Recognized for her teaching excellence, she received VCU’s Distinguished Achievement in Teaching Award (2008) and was honored as a Qatar Foundation Achiever (2011). Fetherston pioneered VCU Qatar’s School-Wide Reading Program, a first-of-its-kind initiative in Qatar, and co-coordinated the Education City Liberal Arts & Social Sciences Research Forum.

Her research focuses on 20th- and 21st-century British, American, and Canadian literature, with notable publications in Humanities and Social Sciences Review, International Journal of Arts & Sciences, and Brill anthologies. Her creative works explore themes of memory, identity, and cultural intersectionality. Fetherston has presented at international conferences in London, Dubai, and Kenya, and her funded research includes residencies at the Iowa Summer Writing Festival and the British Library Study Trip.
