Wendy Merritt

Dr. Wendy Merritt is a Research Fellow at the Institute for Climate, Energy & Disaster Solutions within the Fenner School of Environment and Society at Australian National University. Her work centers on natural resource assessment and modeling, particularly for land and water management, with extensive collaboration across governmental agencies and interdisciplinary research teams.

• Active in water security, agricultural intensification, and climate adaptation research
• Involved in projects like Putting People at the Centre (2024–2027) and One Basin CRC (2022–2032)
• Key expertise in participatory Decision Support Systems and modeling for policy engagement

Research Focus:
Dr. Merritt specializes in integrated water resource modeling and participatory approaches. Her work spans Australia, India, Thailand, and the Pacific, addressing issues like managed aquifer recharge, erosion modeling, and socially inclusive agricultural development.
