Jamie Pittock is Professor at the ANU Fenner School of Environment and Society, where he co-convenes the Masters of Climate Change program. His research spans environmental governance, climate adaptation, and sustainable water management with projects in Africa and Asia.
With expertise in freshwater ecosystem conservation and hydropower impacts, Pittock leads projects examining irrigation in African countries and energy-food systems in Southeast Asia. He serves on multiple advisory boards including WWF Australia and the ACT Natural Resources Management Committee.
His recent publications focus on transforming irrigation systems, water sensitivity frameworks, and sustainable intensification in agriculture. Pittock is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
