Dame Wendy Hall is the Regius Professor of Computer Science and Associate Vice President (International Engagement) at the University of Southampton. She also serves as Director of the Web Science Institute. Her research focuses on Web Science, AI Policy, and the sociotechnical implications of emerging technologies. She has held leadership roles including co-chair of the UK government’s AI Review (2017), chair of the Ada Lovelace Institute (2020–2023), and co-chair of the ACM Publications Board. Her work spans cybersecurity, healthcare data sharing, and global internet governance. She has authored over 200 publications and co-authored the 2021 book *Four Internets*, examining data geopolitics.
