Welmoet Boender

Welmoet Boender is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, specializing in Islamic theology and Muslim religious professionals in Western Europe. She serves as Dean of Education since April 2025 and has held leadership roles including Program Director for Theology and Religious Studies (2020-2023) and Director of Education (2019-2020).
