Wayne Thomas is a George Lynn Cross Research Professor and David C. Steed Chair in Accounting at the University of Oklahoma’s Price College of Business. He joined the university in 2000 and teaches intermediate and financial accounting at both undergraduate and graduate levels. He has received numerous teaching awards, including the Outstanding Accounting Educator from the Oklahoma Society of CPAs and the Cook Prize for undergraduate teaching excellence. His research focuses on financial accounting in capital markets, earnings manipulation, financial disclosures, and statement analysis. He has authored influential textbooks and served as editor of The Accounting Review and associate editor of Journal of International Accounting Research.
