Wayne Johnson

Wayne Johnson is a Senior Lecturer at Regent University's Department of Law, transitioning to a full-time law professor role in the fall of 2025. A multifaceted career includes 14 years as a bankruptcy judge in the Central District of California (2011-2025), legal practice in national law firms, and clerkship under Judge David N. Naugle.

• Education: B.A. in Government (summa cum laude), Cornell University (1989); J.D., University of Pennsylvania (1992)

His expertise spans creditor rights, secured transactions, federal civil procedure, evidence, insolvency, family law, property rights, torts, and contract law. Over 30 years, he has taught thousands of attorneys at legal seminars and coached hundreds of students in Christian homeschool speech and debate leagues like Stoa.

He actively contributes to Christian education through roles as a board member and debate committee chair for Stoa, and has homeschooled all seven of his children. Upon completing his judicial term in February 2025, he will focus on legal education at Regent University.
