Wang Hui is a Distinguished Professor of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences at Tsinghua University, where he also serves as Founding Director of the Tsinghua Institute for Advanced Study in Humanities and Social Sciences. His academic career includes visiting roles at institutions such as Harvard University, Princeton's IAS, and the Max Planck Institute. He holds a Ph.D. from Nanjing University (1988), an M.A. from Yangzhou Teachers College (1985), and a B.A. from the same institution (1981).
