Wanda Maulding Green

Dr. Wanda Maulding Green is an Associate Professor of Educational Leadership at the University of South Alabama's College of Education and Professional Studies (CEPS). She holds a B.S. from Millsaps College, M.Ed. from Mississippi College, and Ed.D. from the University of North Texas. Her career spans 16 years in K-12 education as a teacher, coach, and administrator, followed by 21 years in higher education. She has served as department chair, associate dean, and dean, and directed university accreditation (2013). Her research focuses on leadership intelligence, merging theories from Goleman (Emotional Intelligence), Gardner (Multiple Intelligences), and Marquis/Tilcsik (Imprinting) to assess leader acumen. She teaches courses like Advanced Leadership and Dissertation Guidance. Outreach activities include collaborating with K-12 institutions and local universities to address educational challenges. Dr. Green also writes children's books featuring leadership lessons through the character 'Smart Little Sunny,' aiming to inspire early leadership development.
