Wan Huang is an Assistant Professor at East China University of Science and Technology and currently a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Sociology at Texas A&M University. She specializes in demography, deviance, and migration studies. Her research focuses on China’s domestic migration impacts on society, delinquency, education, family structures, and rural community empowerment.
Education background includes a graduate degree in journalism and documentary filmmaking from the Journalism and Media Studies Centre (JMSC) at the University of Hong Kong (HKU).
Her interdisciplinary approach combines qualitative and quantitative methodologies to explore sociological phenomena in contemporary Chinese society. Research interests prominently feature migration patterns, family dynamics, and juvenile delinquency.
