Vincent Del Castillo

Professor Vincent Del Castillo is an Associate Professor at John Jay College of Criminal Justice, part of the City University of New York (CUNY). He holds a PhD from Fordham University, an MPA from John Jay College, and a BS in Labor Studies from Empire State College. With a career spanning military service, law enforcement, and academia, he served as Chief of the New York City Transit Police Department and later contributed to establishing a branch campus of John Jay in Puerto Rico as Dean of Academic Affairs.

His research focuses on law enforcement practices, fear of crime, and victimization. He has published articles and book chapters in these areas. Beyond academia, he is an avid sailor.
