Victoria DUDA

Victoria DUDA is an Associate Professor at the University of Montreal’s Faculty of Medicine - School of Speech Therapy and Audiology, and an Emerging Researcher at the CRIR Montreal University Institute for Physical Disability Rehabilitation. Her research focuses on electrophysiology, clinical audiology, and the effects of attention/stress on auditory perception. She leads the CAT Laboratory, studying cognitive neuroscience of hearing and temporality. Key projects include investigating temporal cues in speech processing (2022–2028, funded by CRSNG), developing the SmartBelt wearable device for sensory assistance (2021–2022), and evaluating interventions for hearing aid users (2023–2026, funded by CRSH).

Her awards include the 2023 CAA Prize and recognition as a Women and Girls in Science Ambassador. She teaches courses across health programs, including collaboration in healthcare (CSS-3900), and advises PhD students like Charlotte Bigras. Her work bridges clinical practice and technology, addressing auditory disorders through electrophysiological and rehabilitative approaches.
