Victoria Canning is Professor of Criminology at Lancaster University, co-chair of Statewatch EU, and co-editor of the Emerald Activist Criminology series. Her work focuses on the rights of women seeking asylum, particularly survivors of sexual violence and torture, spanning nearly two decades of collaboration with NGOs and migrant rights organizations.
