Dr. Victor Uribe-Uran is a Professor at Florida International University's School of International and Public Affairs (Green School), holding a joint appointment in History and Law. He has authored over twenty books or book chapters and more than sixty articles and book reviews, focusing on Latin American history and comparative legal systems.
- Research spans constitutionalism in early republican Colombia, colonial-era domestic crimes in Mexico and Cuba, and contemporary legal issues in the Andean region.
- Teaches courses including Global History of Domestic Violence, History of Law and Human Rights in the West, and Comparative History of State and Society in Latin America.
