Vicky Foskolou is an Associate Professor of Byzantine Archaeology at the University of Crete, with academic appointments at the Hellenic Open University (2003-2017) and prior roles as Special Scientist (2002-03). Her research focuses on Byzantine monumental painting, iconography, East-West artistic interactions, private devotion practices, and pilgrimage material culture.
