Veslemøy Rydland is a Professor at the Department of Education, University of Oslo. Her research focuses on minority language children, language and communication, reading comprehension, bilingual development, and socio-emotional development. She leads the ongoing project Teaching for text comprehension: Supporting young second-language learners' text comprehension in urban multiethnic preschools in Norway (PreComp).
