Professor Vaskar Saha is a Professor of Paediatric Oncology at the University of Manchester and Honorary Consultant Paediatric Oncologist at Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital. He leads translational cancer research in childhood cancers, particularly focusing on Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia (ALL). He also serves as Director of the Tata Translational Cancer Research Centre and Head of Paediatric Haematology/Oncology at Tata Medical Center, Kolkata.
His research expertise includes clinical trials design, bioinformatics for gene expression analysis, biobanking, and molecular biology. He contributes to UN Sustainable Development Goals through cancer research addressing global health inequities. His qualifications include MBBS, MD, PhD, and fellowships from Royal Colleges of Paediatrics and Pathology.
