Val Pexton

Val Pexton is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of English at the University of Wyoming since 2001. She specializes in creative writing and teaches courses such as First-Year Seminar: Zombies, Literature, Media, and Culture, and Intro to Fiction Writing. Her research interests include popular culture, dystopian narratives, and literary genres. Pexton has been recognized with awards including the Fred Slater Teaching Award (2006) and Wyoming Arts Council Fellowships (2009, 2016).
