VASILIOS CHASIOTIS

Vasilios Chasiotis is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Statistics at the Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB). He holds a BSc in Mathematics (2012), MSc in Statistics and Modeling (2014), and PhD in Statistics (2018) from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.

His research integrates methodological development with practical applications, focusing on:

• Statistical methodologies for official statistics
• Optimal experimental designs
• Big data regression and subdata selection
• High-dimensional and complex data analysis

He has published 14 peer-reviewed articles and conference papers, primarily addressing challenges in modern statistical science, including big data frameworks and experimental design efficiency. His work emphasizes scalability and real-world implementation in official statistics.

He received multiple Excellence in Teaching Awards for his extensive undergraduate and postgraduate coursework at AUEB and other Greek universities. He is regularly invited to present at international conferences and seminars.
