Uzo Anucha

Uzo Anucha is an Associate Professor at York University's School of Social Work and founding Director of the Applied Social Welfare Research and Evaluation Group. Her scholarship focuses on equity-oriented approaches to community wellbeing, examining systemic barriers affecting marginalized populations locally and globally. She maintains active research partnerships addressing homelessness, immigrant inclusion, and youth development.

Dr. Anucha has extensive community engagement experience, having served on multiple boards addressing health equity, immigrant services, and social policy development.
