Uwe Dulleck is the Executive Dean of the Faculty of Business, Government and Law at the University of Canberra, where he also holds the rank of Professor of Economics. He is an Honorary Professor at the Crawford School of Public Policy, Australian National University (ANU), and an Adjunct Professor at Queensland University of Technology (QUT). His academic career includes previous roles as a Professor of Economics at the University of Linz, Austria, and an Assistant Professor at the University of Vienna.
He earned his PhD in Economics from Humboldt University Berlin in 1999. His research focuses on Behavioural Economics, with applications to Public Policy, Business Decision Making, and Regulation. His work has been published in prestigious journals like the American Economic Review, Journal of Economic Literature, and Scandinavian Journal of Economics, and has been featured in media outlets such as The Economist and Frankfurter Allgemeine Sonntagszeitung.
Dr. Dulleck has secured over AUD 2.5 million in research funding, including ARC Linkage Grants, an ARC Discovery Grant, and two Austrian Research grants. In 2015, he chaired the program committee for Australia’s Conference of Economists, the nation’s largest gathering of economists. He is an active public speaker, advocating for the practical integration of Behavioural Economics into policy and business strategy.
