Ulrike Jansen

Ulrike Jansen is a Researcher at the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences and Humanities (BBAW), dedicated to the Corpus Inscriptionum Latinarum project, which systematically documents Latin inscriptions across the Roman world. Her work supports foundational research in classical studies through epigraphic analysis and archival curation.

Her research spans Classics, Epigraphy, Ancient History, Latin Language, and Roman Empire studies, emphasizing the socio-political context of ancient inscriptions as primary historical sources. This interdisciplinary focus bridges philology, archaeology, and ancient history to reconstruct Roman societal structures.
