Sebastian Prignitz

Sebastian Prignitz serves as Head of the Inscriptiones Graecae project at the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences and Humanities (BBBAW), located at Unter den Linden 8, 10117 Berlin. This internationally recognized project focuses on the systematic collection and critical publication of ancient Greek inscriptions.

His research centers on Ancient Greek Epigraphy, with expertise in analyzing linguistic, historical, and cultural contexts of epigraphic records from the Greek world. This work spans interdisciplinary fields including Classics, Ancient History, and Mediterranean Archaeology, contributing to broader understanding of ancient societies through primary source documentation.
