Prof. Dr. Uli Weber serves as a Professor in the Department of LSE at Central Hesse University of Applied Sciences, where he teaches advanced medical physics courses including Structure of Matter II, Dosimetry, Physics and Technology of Radiotherapy, and laboratory internships. He concurrently leads the Radiation Physics research group at GSI Helmholtz Center's Biophysics Department.
His research spans particle therapy physics, FLASH irradiation techniques using protons and carbon ions, and space radiation protection systems. Key initiatives include developing tumor therapy protocols with heavy ions and advancing radiation safety frameworks for space travel through experimental particle beam studies.
