Truc Nguyen

Truc Nguyen is a Professor in the Department of Liberal Arts and Sciences (LAS) at Mercy College of Health Sciences since 2008. She has a PhD from the University of Wisconsin-Madison (2000) and an AB from Harvard University (1994). Her teaching responsibilities include courses in chemistry and mathematics, ranging from introductory to advanced levels.

Her research focuses on natural product total synthesis, particularly guanacastepene A, and pharmaceutical chemistry, including SAR-driven design of nicotinic Alpha-7 receptor partial agonists. Prior to academia, she spent six years in the pharmaceutical industry advancing compounds for cognitive therapies.
