Tracy Halcomb

Tracy Halcomb is a Professor and Internship Coordinator in the Communication Department at Flagler College. She has served as a Faculty Senator since 2007 and as Flagler College TV Executive Producer since 2005. Her work bridges academic research with practical media production.

• Ph.D. in Mass Communication from Bowling Green State University
• M.A. in Mass Communication from Bowling Green University
• B.S. in Mass Communication from Miami University

Dr. Halcomb specializes in media regulation, communication law and ethics, and international broadcasting, with a focus on children’s media representation. Her documentary Cracking Aces: A Woman's Place at the Table (2018) explores gender dynamics in media.

Notable accolades include inclusion in Who's Who Among America’s Teachers (2000, 2004, 2005) and Faculty Fellow recognition by the National Association of Television Program Executives (2003, 2008). She has contributed to academic literature as an editorial board member for Elements of Speech Communication, 3/e (2002).

For over a decade, she has guided students as the Communication Department’s internship coordinator, offering office hours for mentorship and academic support.
