Tracy Dietz is an Associate Professor and Associate Dean for Assessment and Academic Reporting at the G. Brint Ryan College of Business, University of North Texas. She holds a B.A. in Sociology and Communications from Stephen F. Austin State University (1990), M.A. and Ph.D. in Sociology from University of North Texas (1992, 1995), and a graduate certification in Aging Studies (1994). She completed a post-doctoral fellowship at the University of New Hampshire's Family Research Laboratory (1996–1997).
Her research focuses on social inequalities, family violence, and pedagogical scholarship. She has authored over 30 journal articles and book chapters, and serves on editorial boards and executive councils of academic and non-profit organizations. Her administrative roles include IRB Chair at University of Central Florida (UCF), and roles in assessment and accreditation at UCF's Provost’s Office before joining UNT in 2009.
At UNT, she specializes in student learning outcome assessment, accreditation maintenance, and academic reporting. She also contributes to external grant production and interdisciplinary collaborations.
