Tonya Davis

Dr. Tonya N. Davis is a Professor at Baylor University's School of Education, where she serves as Director of the Applied Behavior Analysis Program and Coordinator of the undergraduate Special Education Program. She holds a Ph.D. in Special Education from the University of Texas at Austin, an M.S.Ed. in Educational Psychology, and a B.S. in Special Education from Baylor University. Dr. Davis is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst-Doctoral Level (BCBA-D) and maintains teaching certifications in Special Education.

Her research focuses on:

• Applied behavior analysis for developmental disabilities including autism
• Treatment of severe challenging behaviors
• Communication interventions for children with autism
• Training teachers and behavior analysts in evidence-based practices

Her applied research is conducted at Baylor CARE and public schools.

She teaches courses across undergraduate, master's, and doctoral programs in Special Education and Applied Behavior Analysis. Her professional affiliations include the Texas Association for Behavior Analysis, Council for Exceptional Children, and Association of Behavior Analysis International.
