Dr. Tony Stallins is Professor of Geography at the University of Kentucky's College of Arts & Sciences. He holds a PhD in Geography from University of Georgia (2000), MS in Biology from Georgia State University (1995), and BS in Geology from Florida State University (1985).
His research examines the geographies of earth-life interactions, boundaries, and biogeomorphological systems. Current projects include urban food systems, sustainable agriculture practices, and environmental education. Dr. Stallins leads study abroad programs in the Netherlands focused on urban-rural sustainability tensions and maintains an active research garden investigating sustainable food production techniques.
He developed the COVID-19 History Project documenting student experiences during the pandemic and teaches courses on global health dynamics, society-resource-climate relationships, and environmental sustainability.
