Tommaso Ranzani

Tommaso Ranzani is an Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering at Boston University with affiliations in Materials Science and Biomedical Engineering. He directs the Morphable Biorobotics Lab, developing soft robots for medical applications including minimally invasive surgery and cardiac interventions.

Ranzani received the NIH Trailblazer Award and has been recognized for his research with best paper awards at international conferences. His work focuses on creating multifunctional soft robotic systems inspired by biological mechanisms.
