Tomek Strzalkowski

Professor Tomek Strzalkowski, currently at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute's Tetherless World Constellation, is a leading researcher in human language technology. He holds a joint appointment in Cognitive and Computer Science and has previously served as Professor at SUNY Albany, Director of its Institute for Informatics, Logics and Security Studies, and as a Principal Scientist at GE Research and NYU Courant Institute.

• Current research focuses on socio-behavioral computing, social media analytics, and AI defenses against disinformation through projects like GATOR (dialogue systems), PANACEA (anti-social-engineering agents), and COMETH (computational ethnography).
• His 150+ publications span computational linguistics, interactive information retrieval, and formal semantics, with recent works addressing multimodal AI, agenda detection, and pandemic behavioral modeling.
